How to write a simple poem — Ministry book
- Choose a topic (nature, friendship, dreams, school, family).
- Think of feelings and images (What do you see? Hear? Feel?).
- Use adjectives and comparisons (bright, quiet, as tall as a tree).
- Keep lines short (poems don't need full sentences).
- Rhyme like (cat/hat, sing/wing) — but rhyme is not always necessary.

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
